Layrpop controls
You only need one action to stack a block. Layrpop supports touch, mouse and keyboard; the start prompt adapts to your device.
Tap
Tap the game area to start, drop each moving block and play again after a run.
Left click
Click the game area to start, place a moving block or restart after game over.
Space
Press Space to start, place the current block or begin another run. Holding it down does not repeatedly place blocks.
Audio and recording shortcuts
These keys work while the game is focused. Avoid using them while typing elsewhere on the page.
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| Space | Start, place a block or play again |
| M | Toggle all audio |
| S | Toggle sound effects |
| N | Toggle music |
| R | Turn gameplay recording on or off (outside a run: start or game-over screen) |
| Esc | Close the video preview, when that preview is open |
Can I move the block with arrow keys?
No. The block moves automatically. Your job is to choose when to place it. You cannot steer it with the arrow keys or WASD.
How does recording work?
Layrpop offers an optional run-recording control on supported browsers. You can switch recording on or off from the start or result screen; availability and export formats depend on the browser. Recording is different from taking a screenshot. When a recording is ready, the game shows a video preview or save option.
Space bar does not place a block?
Click or tap once inside the game area to give it focus, then press Space. If a button or video preview has focus, interact with that interface first. Mobile devices can always use touch.
